Hello, I'm James

About me
I am a pharmacist, a husband, and a proud dad of two wonderful children. I’ve called Chippenham home on and off since 2012, and although I grew up in Hertfordshire—where I also met my wife—Chippenham has truly become the place where I feel most connected and invested in the future.
From an early age, I developed a keen interest in politics and have always been highly engaged with current affairs. I believe this stems from a deep-rooted desire to understand the world around me and to play an active role in making it better. Leadership has come naturally to me throughout my life, and I often find myself passionately drawn to initiatives that bring about meaningful and lasting change.
As a local resident who cares deeply about our community, it was this drive that led me to stand as a town councillor. I am particularly focused on three key areas: protecting and enhancing our environment, revitalising and supporting the health of our town centre, and ensuring that our young people have every opportunity to thrive. I firmly believe that if we get these foundations right, we can secure a brighter, more prosperous future for everyone in our town.
Outside of my professional role as a pharmacist at the Great Western Hospital and my involvement in local politics, I am also an active member of the Chippenham Harriers Running Club. For the past four years, I have proudly served as the club’s treasurer, supporting not just the financial health of the club but also the wellbeing of our running community. Running is a real passion of mine—one that has sometimes bordered on the extreme! In fact, one of my proudest personal achievements was completing a non-stop endurance run from London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads—covering the entire distance in an exhausting but unforgettable 42 hours.
Everything I do—whether in my career, my community work, or my personal pursuits—is driven by a simple belief: with commitment, collaboration, and care, we can create lasting positive change.
